Currently we are seeking candidates to join our production team as a Digital Print Technician.

The candidate we are looking for will need to possess the following traits:

  • Prior print technology experience utilizing the HP Indigo platform or narrow-web flexographic print technology experience strongly desired. Flexo platforms include Aquaflex, Gallus, Webtron, Sanki, Nilpeter and Mark Andy.
  • Ability to set and maintain print registration, color matching, varnishes and coatings.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers and color spectrometers is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined (example: prior maintenance or equipment repair experience).
  • Strong attention to detail; quality is one of our biggest focuses.

Production & Purchasing Coordinator


The Production & Purchasing Coordinator serves as the primary production scheduler for the company as well as production material procurement and will oversee the Order Entry department. The PPC is expected to consistently ensure that production scheduling of the equipment is at maximum efficiency, that materials required have been allocated/ordered and to assist the Order Entry Specialist on an as needed basis.   This position reports directly to the Production Manager.

  • Works closely with the Production Manager to monitor manpower and workload and to forecast/recommend overtime.
  • Works closely with the ALNW Customer Service Representatives to ensure that client expectations for delivery are met.
  • Coordinate expedition of material purchases to accommodate “rush” jobs.
  • Provide additional support for Order Entry staff to accommodate workload to ensure that internal deliverables are met.
  • Reports to the Production Manager, providing regular input on workload, lead times and process improvement suggestions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
  • Ensure that personal workspace is neat, organized and tidy.
  • Full participation in all training sessions, meetings, and professional development classes as required.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Two – three years of production planning and/or purchasing experience in print packaging industry required.  Label printing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail is a MUST for this position
  • Good math skills aptitude
  • Stable work history with verifiable references
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typing skills and computer proficiency, preferably Mac experience.
  • Reliable transportation

Press Support Personnel

The Press Support responsibilities include supporting the Press Operators by staging materials, assisting in press set up and change over, plate mounting and general clean up as well as assisting in the overall operation of the printing press. This position reports directly to the Press Floor Supervisor and the Production Manager.

 

The Press Support position is accountable for meeting production and quality goals:

  • Acts as an assistant to the Press Operators and to the Production Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a continual supply of inks, roll stock, print cylinders, adhesives/varnishes, job orders, and supplies to presses.
  • Assists with job changeovers, make readies, cleaning of rollers, plate cylinders, anilox, doctor blade assemblies, hanging rolls and other press components.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments. Assists with preventative maintenance.
  • Executes press operator(s) instructions.
  • Communicates with press crew on press status, including shift changes.
  • Reviews and prioritizes plate mounting based upon the press schedule.
  • Properly disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials into the proper storage containers, marks and identifies the containers with required documentation.
  • Operates as an assistant/back up to press operator
  • Complies with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping efforts
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
  • Full participation in all training sessions, meetings, and professional development classes as required.

  • Experience in print packaging industry/label printing experience preferred, but not required.

Certified HP Press Operator

Must be HP WS6000 Certified, and ABG Digicon press experience is preferable. This position is responsible for the digital press operations and will include theses additional responsibilities:

  • Use of color theory knowledge for color profiling;
  • Press setup, runs, and cleanup for challenging as well as routine projects;
  • Detailed equipment maintenance and mindfulness to a clean environment;
  • Use of a PC with raster imaging software (Troubleshoot digital files, "own" electronic data management.
  • LabelTraxx experience is a plus.

Experienced Estimator


The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in flexographic printing, although commercial offset print/print packing experience will be considered. You will provide timely estimates to our internal Customer Service Representatives and consult with the Production Manager to engineer complex projects. You will have great attention to detail and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Excellent math skills and a comprehensive understanding of the printing process will be expected.  Experience with LabelTraxx software is desirable as well as a good working knowledge of Apple computers.

Customer Service Representative


The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The CSR is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, the CSR should build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

  • Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.

 

Duties/Tasks:

  • Answer incoming calls and forward to appropriate persons. Take messages as needed.
  • Receive estimate requests via phone, email and fax.  Engage with customer to ensure all required information is provided.  Fax or email estimate to customer. Follow-up with customer on estimate within one (1) business day.
  • Respond to customer email/phone inquiries throughout day as well as respond to client requests for order changes, adjustments and cancellations.
  • Follow-up on pending jobs in house (i.e. Pending art approval, incomplete information, approvals on paperwork)
  • Compile and mail samples as needed and follow-up on all sample inquiries.
  • Reach out to clients on shipped orders to ensure satisfaction level.
  • Maintain and expand prospect database.
  • Filing, general administrative duties.

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Two – three years customer service experience in print packaging industry required. Label printing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Stable work history with verifiable references
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typing skills and computer proficiency, preferably Mac experience.
