The Future of Digital Label Printing is Here

Oct 18, 2016 02:27 AM

2016 is a landmark year of technological investment in the 26-year award winning history of Advanced Labels NW. With all the major pieces now in place, we would like to share with you the progress we have made towards delivering the best labels possible in support of brands all across the country.

Digital Printing Press

Our installation of the latest generation HP digital press is complete and operator training is underway. The HP Indigo 8000 is the new flagship digital label printing press from HP, and we are one of only 7 elite printers worldwide considered for this incredible machine. For our clients this means precisely printed labels, faster turn times, and dramatically increased color accuracy and registration at more than double the printing speed of our previous HP press. Delivery and installation photos can be found below.

We expect to be in full production by November 1st, 2016.

NEW Finishing Press

Complementing the HP is our new lightning-fast finishing press* that sets the standard for foil stamping, multi-stroke foil, and embossing, with the finest quality of any finishing press we have ever seen. We are now able to produce multiple foils and embossing in one pass at 2 to 3 times the speed, also with considerably improved registration.

NEW Rewinder

An incomparable finishing press and the most powerful HP digital press on the planet are a knockout combination ensuring Advanced Labels NW continues living up to our name. 2016 has been a year of significant investment in producing truly advanced labels. In addition to these two press installations, we installed a rapid rewinder with pinpoint error detection web monitoring, and announced our NEW Rotary Screen unit.

Each of these investments augment our world-class label printing capabilities, and are emblematic of our ongoing pursuit of the best technology, innovation, staff, and training. Our customer-first philosophy drives our commitment to technology and innovation, and we are proud to produce the highest quality labels at competitive prices, with personal one-on-one service. Consequently, you can count on us to lead the way with excellence in label printing, the tightest registration, and the brightest, most accurate color reproduction available–  while the time it takes to deliver your custom labels gets shorter.

HP 8000 & Finishing Press Delivery and Installation

Adding 1,600 square feet to our manufacturing facility was necessary to accommodate the incoming HP 8000.

Prior to the digital press room expansion our new and improved finishing press was installed. The wall directly behind this press would later come down:

The following image was taken prior to floor painting and sealing. Included in the finished digital press room are a sink and eye wash station, computer workstation, storage, and rubber floor mats for operator comfort:
